Retired Colonel Josefa Benjamin dedicated 30 years of service to the Broward Sheriff's Office, elevating through the ranks to become the Executive Director of the Department of Detention and Community Programs.
In 2014, she founded The Born on Purpose Project, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, along with her for-profit venture, The Born on Purpose Clothing Company. Now retired, she is thrilled to fully focus on both initiatives.
In addition to her entrepreneurial efforts, Josefa serves as the proud Chair of the ChildNet Board of Directors, where she is passionate about supporting and advancing the organization's mission. Her faith remains her foundation, and her commitment to purpose fuels her life's work. She believes that discovering one's purpose is the key to making an impactful difference in the world.
